Description
This is not an ordinary book on heraldry, but infact, a most sought after first edition (1610) that has not even been seen in auction for years. Actually, we cannot find any auction results for this one, only for much later editions.... What we can find is that only 7 are known in institutions. The Library of Congress does not even have this one. This book is complete. This is the greatest find we have ever discovered! We have had various incunabula and other very rare books, but not as important as this book we are offering here on Ebay. We could sell this to an institution but thought to offer it on Ebay. When buying books, it is always the best investment to have the first editions like this one. We are very pleased to even own this for a short time. This is a book that will not be seen on the market for possibly decades. This is high quality and would make a fine addition to any serious antiquarian collection. Author: John Guillim, 1565-1621 A display of heraldrie: manifesting a more easie accesse to the knowledge thereof then hath beene hitherto published by any, through the benefit of method, whereinto it is now reduced by the industry of Joh. Gwillim Pursuiuant of Armes. [London : Printed by William Hall, and are to be sold by Raphe Mab, 1610] Shipping is free by DHL or FedEX. (A fine slideshow should appear below.
