1611 King James 1st Edition Great He Bible 1611 First Edition, Black-Letter King James Pulpit Holy Bible "THE HOLY BIBLE, Conteyning the Old Testament, and the New: Newly Translated out of the Originall tongues: & with the former Translations diligently compared and revised, by his Majesties Special Commandment. Appointed to be read in Churches. Imprinted at London by Robert Barker, Printer to the Kings most Excellent Majestie. ANNO DOM. 1611." First Edition; Both Old and New Testaments with Apocrypha and Woodcut Illustrated Genealogies; map and Adam & Eve leaves present by John Speed; Large elephant pulpit folio, measuring approx 16" x 11.5" x 5"; Bound in original full calf leather binding with 6 raised bands and re-backed spine. Binding is tight, and collates throughout. Ornate copper hinge hardware attachments, copper corners and diamond-shaped copper emblem centered on covers, both front and back. Title Pages present. Frontis to Title is facsimile. Original New Testament Title Page reads: "THE NEWE Testament of our Lord and Saviour JESUS CHRIST. Newly Translated out of the Originall Greeke: and with the former Translations diligently compared and revised, by his Majesties speciall Commandment.
