Date of publication: 1614.  Asia wie es jetziger zeit nach den furnemesten Herzschafften abgetheilet und beschreiben ist. Image size: 35.7x30.2  cms. Double page map of Asia with title at top margin; cartouche in the Indian Ocean. A very fairly accurate map of the continent of Asia although much of Asian Russia and Siberia are absent. It extends from Asia Minor and the Red Sea in the west to Japan and New Guinea in the east. Ceylon is correctly placed and named Zelan and mythical Taprobana is definitely Sumatra. Japan is present with five of its cities named; Taiwan is also present and named Fermosa. Timor and Papua New Guinea are also present at the extreme south east, though Australia is absent. I am not at all pleased with the presence of Cuba in the Philippines, though.
