Free Shipping on Purchases of 5 or More Maps and Prints Description:  It is an original antique copper engraved map with embossed plate marks in the margins in its original uncolored state. It is by Rigobert Bonne for Guillaume Reynal's Atlas de toutes les parties connues du glove terrestre, published in 1780. Bonne (1729-1795) was the Royal Hydrogapher, making maps for the King of France succeeding Nicolas Bellin in 1773. His maps were originally published uncolored, but many have been recently colored by dealers, here the maps are being offered in their original state. The map is not mounted nor matted, being sold as a single sheet as seen in the first pic. A rare of this specific island, which was a French Colony in the Antilles. Overall, A very nice Map that will frame up nicely.  Size: The map image measures approximately 8 1/2 by 12 1/2 inches on a 10 by 14 1/2" page with a margin all around as seen in the pic. Condition: The map is in Very Good or better condition for its age with overall tonal ageing. The map is very clean with no distracting defects. It is a dark impression, printed on heavy quality cotton paper, blank on the reverse. Overall, it is a very nice map that has aged nicely and will frame up well with an antique quality as desired.
