The arm swings back and forth and also has an adjustable hook which slides along the arm which measures 12" long (overall weight is 3 pounds 4 ounces).Beautifully decorated with scroll work and acorn finials, the piece is crudely sand cast and all the parts are held together with either crudely fashioned rivits or hand peened over which is typical construction for this era.
