It is a filigree Sterling Silver spoon holder The Sultan's Tugra is seen on the inside On the back side of the base there is a wavy mark, which was from when it was checked for its silver content. It means that it went through customs, and all its duties were paid Exceptional craftsmanship and quality all over this piece There were small flower decorations that were gold-plated on each section Dates back to the mid 1800'sIt is guaranteed that this piece is an original period item (not newer reproduction) made out of solid silver of high purity (not plated) !Measurements: Approx. 9.75" x 7" x 2.25" tall; weights 274 grams or 9 5/8 oz. Condition:  As seen in the photos, a section has been broken off and will need re-soldering. The whole piece needs an overall restoration! It is also missing the flat part which was meant to be put though the middle, to separate the clean spoons from the dirty ones.
