The red squares measure only 3/4 inch. It measures a generous 81 x 81 inches. Hand quilted 6 stitches per inch. The batting is thin. Handpieced. There are pieces that need fixing. I noticed a patch on back. The back has discoloration from age, age spotting and soiling. Fabrics are cotton. It doesn't need much needlework. It's truly an impressive piece with all the tiny squares. We love the mix of early prints. Circa 1840/60s An amazing quilt to add to your collection.
