R8227139 store 1844 ANTIQUE MAP OF CANADA, NEW BRUNSWICK & NOVA SCOTIA Description:FINE DOUBLE-PAGE NINTEENTH CENTURY ANTIQUE ENGRAVED MAP, WITH CONTEMPORARY HAND-COLOUR, OF CANADA, NEW BRUNSWICK AND NOVA SCOTIA DRAWN AND ENGRAVED BY I DOWER AND PUBLISHED BY HENRY TEESDALE IN LONDON IN 1844.A finely detailed double-page nineteenth century steel-lined engraved map, hand-coloured in outline, of Canada, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia, drawn and engraved by I. Dower and published by Henry Teesdale in London, c1844.  The map covers from the Atlantic coast, to the Hudson Bay and beyond and shows interior Canada as it was not long after the decline of the Fur trade.  The map also notes numerous Indian tribes, and addresses the hydrography with considerable detail.  The national boundaries, identified with neat hand-colour, were "settled by treaty August 9th 1842". There is also an inset map showing the vicinity between Lake Ontario and Lake Erie including the Niagara falls.  The map with printed title and with separate scale of distance all within decorative printed border.  Image size approx. 35cm x 41cm (13.7in x 16.2in) with very good margins for framing.  A generally VG++ bright clean impression printed on high quality thick paper with one tiny closed nick to extreme top margin unaffecting the map in anyway.  All maps will be sent out in board-backed envelopes for extra protection.A GUARANTEED GENUINE ANTIQUE NINETEENTH CENTURY ENGRAVED MAP. GUARANTEE. I endeavour to describe items as accurately as possible using industry standard grading and my feedback speaks for itself.  Postage costs are approximately what the Post Office charges me.  I do not charge for packaging etc.  Please email if you have any questions, and please view my other items listed. Thank you for bidding. See eBay's website at www.ebay.co.uk for terms. What is PayPal? PayPal is a secure payment system owned by eBay which allows customers and merchants to exchange money quickly and easily online. Registration takes just a few minutes and you can send money to anyone in the world with an e-mail address. Customers can pay for items using their credit card, debit card, bank account or PayPal balance. And it's free to send money! Shipping:Delivery charges are quoted within each individual listing and vary according to weight of item and postage method. The charge is made up of actual cost of postage plus a small amount for packaging materials. Is postal insurance included / recommended? Every parcel is automatically covered up by Royal Mail to the value of £32. In the case of items costing more than £32 I strongly recommend customers pay for trackable and/or insured delivery. In the UK, Royal Mail offers 'Recorded' delivery at an additional cost of 70p, which requires a signature at the customer's end but carries no additional insurance. Alternatively, customers can take out Royal Mail's Special Delivery Next Day service at an extra cost (normally a few pounds more) which carries £500 of insurance. Non-UK customers can take out Royal Mail's International Signed-For service for extra which carries up to £500 of insurance. These upgrades are optional and will be offered to customers with purchases totalling more than £32 when we send the invoice. How will you know when your item has been sent? As soon as we have despatched your item we will notify you by e-mail. This will give you a guide as to when you can expect delivery. How long will the item take to arrive? We try to ship all items within 2 workings day of receiving your payment, and wherever possible within 1 working day. Cheque payers may need to allow an extra few days for payment to clear before goods are despatched. Within the UK most items are shipped by Royal Mail First Class delivery and take 1 to 2 days to arrive. Heavier items are shipped by Royal Mail's Standard Parcel service or Parcelforce courier and take between 3 and 5 days to arrive. To Europe, we send by Royal Mail airmail or Parcelforce courier, and the item will take 3 to 5 days to arrive. To the US, Canada and the rest of the world, we generally send by Royal Mail airmail or Parcelforce courier (unless you request surface mail) and the item will take 4 to 7 days to arrive. Please note that items sent by surface mail overseas take around 2 weeks (Europe) to 8 weeks (USA, Canada, rest of the world) to arrive. Terms of Sale:Should your item not arrive within the normal delivery time period specified please allow a couple more days for postal delays and then e-mail us at the address above. I will then do everything I can to trace your parcel through Royal Mail. Parcels are occasionally delayed in the postal system for a variety of reasons and can arrive a few days late, though from my experience Royal Mail are very reliable. In the very unlikely event that your parcel does not arrive at all, we will provide you with a full refund (see below). Should your item be lost or damaged in transit, in the first instance please e-mail me (within 7 days in the case of damaged items). Please await our response before posting an item back for refund. I may require the returned item to be insured in transit and will specify this in my response. About Us:I have worked within the Rare and secondhand book industry in the United Kingdom for over seventeen years, including as a cataloguer and auctioneer for one of the leading Book Auctioneers. I have also been a bookseller of rare and out-of-print books, along with good quality maps and prints during this period. I aim to provide excellent customer service coupled with the human touch. I endeavour to describe items as accurately as possible using industry standard grading and my feedback speaks for itself. I am readily available to answer queries on e-mail and promise a quick response. My high feedback rating means my customers can take advantage of the eBay and PayPal Buyer Protection schemes. Contact Us:I request that you contact me by e-mail in the case of problems, queries or concerns. However, you can also telephone me (number on request) in the event of an urgent or unresolved query.
