All 1879 Jefferson and Oldham county precinct maps are included on this CD, as are many city, town and village plan maps from this period. The Jefferson-Oldham county atlas also contains the following 1879 maps: United States, Kentucky, KY and TN System of Railroads, Jefferson County (Outline), Oldham County (Outline) and Louisville and Vicinity. The Jefferson county precincts included are: Anchorage, Blankenbaker, Boston, Cane Run, Cross Roads, Fairmont, Fisherville, Gilmans, Harrods Creek, Jeffersontown, Johnstown, Meadow Lawn, Middletown, O’Bannons, Seatonville, Shardine, Shiveleys, Springdale, Spring Garden, Two Mile House and Woods. Village and town maps of Jefferson county in this atlas: Anchorage, Fishville, Harrods Creek, Jeffersontown, Middletown, Newburgh and St.Matthews. The Oldham county precincts included are: Ballardsville, Brownsboro, Covington, Floydsburg, Goshen, La Grange, Rollington and Westport. Village and town maps of Oldham county in this atlas: Ballardsville, Beard’s Station, Brownsboro, Floydsburg, La Grange, Peewee Valley and Westport. Details on early maps are often difficult to read and these are no exception; however, by virtue of the Adobe PDF formatting, these documents may be inspected at high levels of magnification without additional digital distortion; something that simply cannot be accomplished with paper reproductions and photocopies.
