Description
1       25 in Huge French Ormolu Gilt Bronze Clock 3 Putti 1860   Dear Ladies and Gentlemen.  In this auction I offer important giant mantel/bureau clock that has 2 dials on both front and back. This is high quality work of bronze with heavy gilding and decorated with cobalt blue vase-shape center. My repair master has spent some time to fix damaged center vessel – it was cracked from one side. Now clock appears to be in fine condition and repair noticeable at very close look (pic). Another imperfection is the tip of hour hand – this is it. Clock has compound pendulum movement that distributes rotation to both sides. Clock is very heavy and shipping is costly. Pictures are very poor and do not render natural beauty of timepiece - do not miss.   Creation Year: middle of 19th century Technique: hand chased/engraved gold plated bronze (ormolu), porcelain Size metric: 65 cm high 63 cm wide and 24 cm deep Size inches:  25.5 H Weight approx.: 30 kg or 66 lbs Style/motive: late Empire-Neoclassical/Cherubs Inscription: “Gantter” at every bronze part Condition: as mentioned above Restoration: yes Maker/Creator: Gantter (?), French or German   A careful eBayer that takes the time to study the photos, reads the entire description, and asks pertinent questions is our best customer   Congrats!
