Description
Up for your perusal today, we have an original authentic Theo A. Kochs bleeder style chair. The brass nameplate on the right side of the chair reads, "Theo. A. Kochs, Manufacturer, Chicago, Pat. Feb. 17, 80 - Aug. 14, 88". Features beautiful satin inlays in Walnut with Stork heads at the front of each armrest. Also features deep dark purple bolstered leather backing, seat, armrests, headrest and on the top of the footrest. Features an adjustable headrest, casters on the front of the chair and casters on all four corners of the footrest. We really don't know too much history on this piece, other than it was bought from M.S. Rau Antiques a while back. You can check them out at www.rauantiques.com. They sell some pretty high-end stuff. And as far as condition, it's in pretty good shape. The leather is soft, the wood does have some dings/scratches here and there, nothing out of the ordinary. Some of the wood joints are loose, for that reason it hasn't been sat in for many years. The chair measures 27" wide by 31" deep and 45" tall with the headrest down. In my opinion, this set doesn't appear to have ever been restored. This set can be picked up or shipped. Please feel free to email me with questions.
