Description
Rare find !!!...Extroadinary hand painted glass (Charger?),late 1800s to early 1900s....this early painting has a Hudson River feel, depicting a fisherman crossing a bridge by a gristmill, and is extremely well done and preserved....found in Bucks County P.A.....I cannot find a signature front or rear of the piece....the glass charger is translucent and looks something like milk glass (quite old milk glass),the glass is in very fine condition,no cracks or chips....the piece measures 14 3/4" diagonal all the way around, and displays beautifully....the original hand painting is also in very good condition, there are a few small areas of paint loss in the sky (as shown in photos) and in the pond by the rock, these are in my opinion minor issues which I am compelled point out,but in my opinion, do not detract from the piece....this is a beautifully detailed early painting on early glass....this artwork would compliment any art glass or fine art collection.....questions???....email before bidding, and thank you for your interest.
