EXCELLENT CARVED ANTIQUE SEWING NEEDLE CASE Intricately carved antique needlecase 3 3/4" long, and 1" across at its widest. All surfaces are turned and decorated using oval, leaf, and pinwheel motifs.  Just look at the designs shown on the top & bottom of this needlecase (Photo 2)...they are outstanding! Needlecase is made from the tagua nut, we formerly called this material vegetable ivory.  Circa 1880-1930. Case is in excellent condition with a warm patina.  Top part threads into base easily and securely.  See Photo 3 for a closeup view. A wonderful Xmas gift for a loved one.
