It is done in a Celadon green, with a beautiful visual effect as it weaves in and out among the buds. The "Budding" series is what really put Axel Salto on the map of great Twentieth Century design. He is the prominent Danish ceramicist, and this piece is truly fine. It stands 2" tall, and is 2 5/8" wide, and is quite heavy. There are felt dots attached to the base. I have seen it in an Oxblood glaze, at a very high price.
