Once on the front and once on back with date Date of Creation: 1976 signed on the back by the artist (see photo of this) Canvas Size:  36x24 Frame Size: 43.25 x 31.5 Frame Material: Wood with linen mat (linen has a light mark at the bottom left about 2 inches long, see picture) Medium: Oil  Style: Impressionist, California style Subject:  Seascape or bay. Has two boats, one docked. Has two structures. One appears to be a tower, might even be a castle.  This could be a bay leading out to the ocean. Colors: Main colors are ocean blue/green with the waves being white-yellows. The mountains are green/browns. The sky is pastel blue and pinks   Artist Facts: This artist passed away about 5 years ago. She was a member of the artist Guild (Pasadena, CA) in the early 50's.   Her pieces where shown at this studio : Miko Oil Paintings 2130 Kearney Ave. San Diego, CA 92113   After she died many of her remaining pieces went to the: Balboa Park Art museum, according to her grandson whom I contacted before listing this piece.   Online facts have shown her pieces go up for auction from time to time and sell  nicely. They are considered hard to find and valuable. Collectors who appreciate this style of California impressionist consider this piece a really wonderful example and therefore feel she was not appreciated to the fullest while she was still alive. This piece will do nothing but go up in value over the next few years. Some of my online searching found that some original pieces of this artist have been sold for over 2200.00 or more.
