The primary would of the desk is plum mahogany with a lighter wood as the secondary wood. The desk has nine drawers all with the original locks. There are slides on both sides that pull out, see additional pictures. The desk has a green leather top that has been replaced, in excellent condition. The desk is finished all around, in which it could free stand in the middle of a room and look fabulous. The bronze mounts are stunning. Three of the bronze were missing and they are being replaced. The dove tailing is nice. The desk has been professionally restored. There is a key for the desk.
