EarlyMusicalInstruments.com eBay Listing An unrestored hurdy gurdy bearing the original stamp: Colson, Mirecourt. The body of lute form, 9 alternate ribs of rosewood and maple, the table of spruce pierced with 2 stylised 'C'-holes either side of the tailpiece and edged in ebony and i...., the keyboard of ebony and i...., the wheel cover, box lid and tailpiece decorated with inlaid fruitwood, the peg box with star and trellis decoration terminating in a carved man's head. The table is separating from the bowl on one side, one of the bridges is unprofessionally glued to the top, two buttons and 7 string shorteners are missing on the keyboard, the wheel is turning but the cover does not fit properly, was maybe replaced at a later date, original handle, original ebony pegs, i.... string tuner on the tailpiece, total length 66 cm, length of the keyboard box 30 cm, height in the middle 9 cm, length of the body 50 cm, needs restoration.
