GRAND ANTIQUE UZBEK TADJIKISTAN (Khodjent) FULLY SILK HANDMADE EMBROIDERED SUZANI - Ancient Rare Suzani Now you are bidding the long traditional TADJIKISTAN (Khodjent) Ancient - Suzani . Suzani from the TADJIK language means “embroidered with a needle”. Hand-emroidery with silk threads on home-made cotton fabric. It is from TADJIKISTAN (Khodjent) . Hand-embroidery of TADJIKISTAN (Khodjent) too differs by an amazing, hardly appreciable stitches and wonderful delicate restrained colours. You can see skilful alternation of gentle and bright colours: pink passes in red and in pink again; dark claret in dark green, yellow in pink and in white, etc. Fine designed thin black line gives clearity to the pattern and it demarcates separate subjects. Other Colours: green olive, dark indigo, crimson, light crimson and red-brown Materials: silk and cotton Structure / Technique: homespun cotton (karboz), six panels , filling stitches - basma and ilmoq; the foundation fabric is so completely filled with stitches that it cannot be seen at all; attached cotton outer field Full Description: An exceptionally large Suzani which has a dramatic effect.
