It belongs on display in a place of proper attention.This may have been inspired from the days of the Babylonian Empire,known for thier chariots driven atop thier city walls and Ishtar gates or perhaps Pericles or the Golden days of the Roman Empire. This pure silver sculpture is a limited production work of art that I picked up years ago from a private estate sale in Miami.It is a fairly large sculpture mounted on a satin finished Solid Mahogany Wood base with reverse edge beveling.You will not likely find another one like it anywhere. It weighs approxamitely 30 pounds and measures 24 inches in length, 9 inches in width and 14 inches in height. Words alone cannot describe the amount of detail that was put into this work of art. The pics do not capture the true patina and luster of the silver or the tiny details in the Soldier,Chariot,bridles or the horses. Even the bridle cord is silver and flexible.The scene is one of urgency and action as the warrior rides into battle with two crazy horses bravely forging the way.The masculinity of the Centurian is demonstrated in his muscular legs and arms,his armour hardly holding him in. When I saw this piece for sale I was immediately impressed and amazed,it has ordained my office for several years but it needs a more suitable place to be appreciated and I cannot offer that at this time.
