A very rare handmade Belgian Bevern Bobbin Lace Pottenkant with two birds flanking a flowerpot.In several pics close up in pic 14.Which is on each side of the cloth under each of the large pictorial Medallions done in Handmade Italian Point de Venise needlelace one with Spanish Soldiers pic 4 and at the other end one with farmers pic 16.Handmade English Bucks point bobbin lace pic 6,Handmade Swiss embroidery pic 20,. Superior quality Italian Point de Venise pic 5,and in pic 10 figural head of a Roman Soldier.Many of the other Handmade laces are Italian knotted Filer Needlelace made in Sardinia, Armenian Needlelace, Figural Deer Italian Knotted filet needlelace and Italian Reticella needlelace. It measures approx 150" by 50". There is separation between the laces shown in pic 17 that needs to be stitched, a couple of broken brides pic 13 & 22 and a small hole in the netting pic 23 & 24.A few very tiny spots on the roman soldier very minor. No stains Overall OUTSTANDING! It does get much better than this ! A Rare find being sold with no reserve must be insured which will be added at the end of auction.
