I have taken a break to build another Ebay Store, Urbanpearl here on Ebay where you can now find all the fabrics you used to be able to find on Hipasbury. As promised I would return and make some changes to HIPASBURY DESIGN. Today HIPASBURY will be only my own designs in pillows and bags and some special items along the way. You will see some KNOCK YOUR SOCKS OFF designs by ME! I have been busy and will be offering you something exclusive that is trademarked and patented ALL ME! Check out what 22 retail shops around the country are now displaying as exceptional and never before seen textile art. Locally you can see my designs in my new digs in downtown Jacksonville Florida, a place not to be missed...you will find my designs at MOCA - Museum of Contemporary Art. Come see the BOLD new city of the SOUTH! Check out my new "ABOUT ME" page and Facebook as Brian Walsh. As always something to be treasured, this original 1940's tropical treasure is all FUNKY, all ME, and I call it "KEY WEST". Inspired by my own flair for the unusual, it was inspired by the colors I have chosen for my own house in downtown Jacksonville Florida's Historic Springfield neighborhood. Its where I chose in Florida to call home after making my move from Asbury Park New Jersey, three years ago. I wanted a little bit of color in my transitional, once blighted neighborhood going through a transformation. So we picked Caribbean blue and sweet corn yellow with navy blue and white as accents. Added a "Key West" sign over the door and called it home. I could plop this pillow on my front porch and it acts as the very best accent on my vintage 20's distressed iron glider. It has the allure of the past with a futuristic design of today's contemporary modern. Using two of my most collectible patterns. The Egret Swirl is from the Hotel Chelsea in Miami Beach's Art Deco District, it was part of my collection for 20 years, and once hung in the hotel lobby when I bought them. Today I re purposed the drapes with a never been used remnant of thick Barkcloth in a WILD Caribbean blue, black and bold lime modern barkcloth. This masterpiece comes with a wonderful patchwork of scraps used as the piping incorporating some of my best scraps! This pillow is so remarkable and will appeal to a true collector of "interesting" art, an eye for funk and someone brave, probably someone who wears kooky glasses :) My designs are patented and copyrighted. All of the fabrics in this master piece are original to the 40's and 50's. Designs you will only find at HIPASBURY DESIGN. As you can see the colors are bold and amazing, creating a true art form of textiles that you can see through my own eye and my own kooky glasses! Its what I love and part of my "Tropical at Heart" line I introduced to Miami Beach and NYC two years ago. My designs are recycled for a popular trend and Eco friendly "GREEN"!This piece measures 24x24 and is filled with a luxurious HUGE 27x27 poly fill insert that makes it nice and big for both drama and comfort. A hidden zipper for easy removal and washing Tailoring skills that are second to none so you will receive a piece of art that will last a life time. Always expect washed textiles that are durable and strong, I only use the best designs that will arrive smelling wonderful. I hope you will pick a design that best suits YOU.
