The strenght & quality of the handwork on this one is beyond exceptional. This quality of handwork is usually only found on convent cloths. An absolutely incredible cutwork center pattern of beautiful winged cherubs, some pushing a cart, one riding a goat, a squirrel in a tree, flowers and lots more. The details are amazing. The center section alone measures 27" x 102". There is a 5" border of cutwork along the hem in a floral & leaf pattern. The 2 1/2" hem is done in entirely in Richelieu cutwork. This part alone had to have taken months to complete. The handwork is extensive and elaborate: * Expert whitework hand embroidery. * Masses and masses of hand made cutwork and lace brides, made so expertly & so strong that there's not even one broken bride * Hand finished French eyelets * One large heavy whitework hand embroidered O K A monogram at each end. If this isn't your monogram, make up a relative! It's that nice. You just don't find this type of handwork very often. Truly of heirloom quality. Please note that the cloth is snowy white. The pictures that were taken outside on my lanai show a blue cast for some reason. It is not blue. SIZE : Huge banquet tablecloth measures 66" x 174". If it's a bit narrow for your table, it would be beautiful over a plain linen undercloth. This one's just too incredible to pass up! These early cloths are getting harder and harder to find!
