Hello from Alaska ! Live way up north in Alaska and went to old bank building closing down auction and saw these 2 funky couches and a matching table. They are 2 Identical Milo Baughman Rosewood Veneer with Black Leatherette Upholstery and a matching Rosewood Veneered Coffee Table. The old-timers at the auction told me this suite was bought during the Trans-Alaska Pipeline construction boom in Fairbanks and were part of the bank presidents suite, what a bizarre find way up here in north alaska, in such good shape. Think of all the large oil rush money deals and loans that were handled from these couches in the bank. Label on bottom of couch says TCI Thayer Coggin Institutional Inc. Designed by Milo Baughman Highpoint /North Carolina. There is another label that dates it even more - a shipping label on the bottom of the couch says it was shipped 12/27/75 and the name and address of the lady here in Alaska that ordered the couches/table. They should go to a home that is a little less active and don't need to be sitting in my house with kids, cats and etc. This is beautiful matching suite of Mid-Century Modern furniture and what a find to obtain 2 couches that are identical and even a matching coffee table from Thayer Coggin design by Milo Baughman. The couches are in excellent condition, probably because they were in a bank president's suite and not a private home. There are some chips and age appropriate wear and tear, the upholstery is in excellent condition, upholstery has no tears or rips and these couches really feel good when you sit on them.
