Fabulous Heraldic Border !   A stunning tapestry depicting deer and shields hung with the armoury of the Knights of the Round Table. From a series of six tapestry panels designed by Edward Burne-Jones and woven by Morris & Co in 1900. Originals can be seen in the Birmingham Museum. The banner reads:These are the arms of certain knights of the round table bidden to seek the sangreal who departed on the quest whatever might befal but of those that thus departed these are the rhiefest . Sir Gawaine of Orknell . Sir Lancelot . Sir Hector de Marus . Sir Bors . Sir Percival and Sir Galahad. This beautiful tapestry is usually seen without a border.  We think the border completes the tapestry to perfection! The colours are deep and vibrant and the detailing is superb. The weaving technique gives the tapestry depth and life - a high quality panel.  Woven in Belgium, fully lined with a rod tunnel. Tapestry rod not included in listing.
