This is a wonderful large silver bowl designed by Johan Rhode of large size, the diametre at the rim being 8 inches / 200 mm. For examples of this bowl, see the book ''Georg Jensen Holloware - The Silver Fund Collection'' by David Taylor & Jason Laskey. The bowl has lovely spot hammered finish and stands on stems of leaves and berries which join it to the pedestal base. The bowl is 8 inches / 200 mm wide and stands 5-3/4 inches / 146 mm high. It is very heavy weighing 636 grams. The piece is in excellent condition with no dents, damage or repair. The underide is clearly marked with the Georg Jensen stamp and marks for 1915-1930 and 'Dessin' with the stamp for Johan Rhode and model no. 171. This is a truly magnificent piece of Georg Jensen silver. I accept payment via Paypal, debit or credit cards as well as personal cheques in Pounds Sterling drawn on a UK bank.
