Aterian The Aterian is a culture of the upper Paleolithic common in North Africa between 40000 and 20000 BP and impossible to circumvent for any collector which wishes to build a general collection of Prehistory .Its name comes from the site of Bir el-Ater near Tebessa in Algeria.
