Speed was a map-maker, but used infomation found by others to put together his maps - he did not travel everywhere to survey the country. This the edition which Bassett and Chiswell sold in 1676, and is in a very good state for a map that is 330 years old. It is titled "Wight Island", the photo of the details on the bottom of the map shows the origins, and states who it was to be sold (spelt fold) by. Size - about 18" wide by 23 " high. note some of the photos show a shadow of the photographer's hands and camera - it is not a stain on the map! Map is professionally framed under glass, done a long time ago. the map will be removed from it's frame for postage unless you tell us not to. Cheapest option is to remove the map from its frame and send it rolled up in one postal tube inside another postal tube - good protection. This is what the post cost is based on -  the map removed from the frame and posted in a roll.
