The opening of the mantel measures 35 5/8" X 35 5/8". The mantel has a beveled mirror that is in mint condition and it measures 13 5/8" tall and 23 1/2" wide. The mantel has a beautiful leaf design at the top and beautiful half columns at the bottom. The mantel shelf has old burn marks which only adds character to the piece. The mantel has been professionally refinished, it has a medium tone oak with a hand rubbed tongue oil finish.
